The Election 6: Random Notes
- Richard Viguerie savaging the GOP and Bush for becoming fake conservatives.
- Conservatives apoplectic over why the heck Bush didn’t get rid of Rummy well before the election…because he drank the kool-aid and thought he wasn’t going to lose, dudes, and because he never wanted to admit His Guys Screwed Up.
- They’re already starting 2008 Presidential Tracking Polls. I not you kid.
- Rummy’s Legacy or “feeding young people into the cauldron without anything to show for it.”.
- The T
oryelegraph on The Start of Bush’s Hell. - And the translation of the President’s news conference; the blogger here catches early on a passage about Bush’s thoughts about the intelligence of the electorate that made me go ‘did he just say that’ really hard at the time.
There’s a passage I got memorized. Ezekiel 25:17. “The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.” I been sayin’ that shit for years. And if you ever heard it, it meant your ass.
